U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Certificate of Appreciation for the CIC Superfund Site – 2,000 successful shipments made between August 2003 and June 2004. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Certificate of Appreciation for the Shattuck Chemical Superfund Site – 1,000 railcars shipped safely June 2004 and 100,000 man-hours without lost time in July 2004. PatentsMHF-LS’ Lift Liner™ System is a flexible bulk packaging system that meets DOT package specifications for “Strong-Tight” 49 CFR 173.427, Industrial Package IP-1 49 CFR 173.410, and Industrial Package 2 (IP-2) 49 CFR 173.411. INEEL performed a large-scale demonstration of our Lift Liner™ system at the request of the DOE. The Lift Liner™ system achieved all objectives of the demonstration, which included analyses of cost, productivity rates, ease of use and limitations. The results are available in a report INEEL prepared for DOE. The International Union of Operating Engineers’ “Hazmat Program Human Factors Assessment Report” concluded that the Lift Liner™ system provides a cost-effective method of transporting and storing LLRW, and is a simple and inherently safe technology. MHF-LS’ Super Load Wrapper™ is the most recognized and widely used gondola railcar liner/tarp system for shipments of hazardous waste and LLRW. Since fabrication of the Super Load Wrapper™ began in 1998, over 60,000 Super Load Wrappers™ have been produced and employed. The majority of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (FUSRAP), Department of Energy, and Department of Defense procurements identify the Super Load Wrapper™ in their specifications. |
