For starters, the authority now is competing against others (including its offshoot, British Nuclear Fuels) for decommissioning projects in the U.K. as lawmakers there seek to reduce costs. POWER OF TRANSLOADING: FASTER CLEANUPS MEAN TAXPAYERS SAVE
We utilize a national network of transload facilities where every working day we move packaged and bulk materials between truck and rail. We also build temporary transload facilities to serve specific projects (including those involving marine conveyance) when and where our clients need them. All that means we can customize packaging and transportation strategies that ultimately can save taxpayers unnecessary costs. Case in point is our work at the Li Tungsten site on Long Island. While we continue to operate as an independent entity with our current management, we are charting expansion both in the environmental services market and elsewhere. One part of the strategy is to look at possible acquisitions and alliances. You can read our news release here: http://www.mhfls.com/news/2005-05-23_BluePointCapital.asp |
